Quarantine a new… (errr not so new for table-top gamers) will be coming to Steam Early Access on February 9.
Brought to us by 505Games and Sproing, Quarantine ask players to fight the war on a radically new contagion that is devastating the globe. Quarantine will feature turned-based play where every decision counts. From researching the contagion itself too upgrading tech to fight the contagion, players will have to do everything in their power to stop this deadly virus before it wipes out the globe.
“A new pathogen has arrived and every turn counts – our survival rests in each player’s hands. Recruit a team of specialized operatives and deploy them on high-stakes missions across the globe. Research the disease, upgrade the tech, and quarantine the outbreak before it infects – and kills – humanity.”
Quarantine looks to make its parent game Pandemic even more realistic with real world science and epidemic response being applied to the games scenario. Like in Pandemic the player will be battling multiple viruses at once, so things will get dicey.
It will be interesting seeing how Quarantine holds up as a single player game, especially because Pandemic is known for being a multiplayer table-top experience. Maybe multiplayer will be added later?
Stay tuned for more info to come. For now, check out the trailer below:
